And except for few more dramatizations... Even 3rd episode follows the book...

The book had a much better way to present the end. But I can understand they could not do it the same way here....

To sum it up they added masala... British/Hollywood style.

The last few chapters is mostly where the series dramatized more.

And now compare this with Gumnaam... And I had seen the movie first & liked it a lot. After reading the book, I was thinking how could they turn this masterpiece into that.

I wish they make ABC murders by Agatha Christie.. Thats a Poirot mystery - So, a TV adaptation might already be there...

i was pretty close but missed the obvious clue thinking it to be a production thing while it was not.

So what was it that you were referring here.... & how close were you...

I mean for a while I thought the Judge was the killer. He along with the old lady were the weakest characters with least focus on them. The lady made very little sense considering how god fearing she was. The judge was shown to be frail but BBC made the mistake of hiring the most well known television face (of the cast) for his role (sam neill has bigger roles to his name but most people today would recognize tywin lannister than the guy from the older jurassic movies).

And then they killed him. The doctor said that he wants to get something to cover his face so that the brain does not spill over. But when they laid him on the bed, nothing actually was spilling over. No blood nothing. So it is clear that he was not dead. Doctor was part of the plan. Not sure what he was aiming to achieve by collaborating with the judge. Might have missed out a few things when judge was explaining the thing to the secretary.

I ignored these things and gave up on my idea that the Judge was the killer. I mean they killed neill as he was a nobody. The plot spent a lot of time on the secretary probably with the aim of making her the most untrusted characters of the lot.

Would have been nice if they had shown how the judge actually managed to kill everyone in the house at the end. Assuming he did kill all of them (except for that guy with 21 murders to his name) because I am not even sure.
