Please suggest best option in price range of 20K-25K.
I finalised HTC Desire 816, but it is out of stock in my region. Flipkart is having 3rd party sellers who are looting and selling it arounf 27K.
What about Moto X ?
Can Nexus be considered ? It is listed at around 27K on Flipkart.

I used to Like HTC, but since my DAD bought one, my experience changed from Good phone to WORST.
This may be my personal experience but I feel HTC should seriously consider giving better phones in 20K Budget range,
giving CRAP that too without updates sucks big time.

however if one is not style and show off types, or can DUMP money for phones without a regret,
current market says only one thing " Buy a Stop Gap Device under 10K, be it XOLO/Micromax/Lava/Sony Etc"
and buy the premium phone towards end of 2014,
I am quite sure, price would go down in next few months and Hardware would become more better as Moto and few others have started
the war and every manufacturer would need to Give The VISIBLE EXTRA (in specs and looks) to prove the premium Price.

htc 816 is already on 4.4.2 future updates are also possible but not guaranteed and i dont think its a factor for any normal user to get worried...nexus and moto are better for updates but in terms of camera they are not good which more important for a normal user ....

Right. Get the Moto E right now. Wait for 6 months. Sell Moto E... I mean it is so cheap... You can still probably get 3-4K for it 6 months from now. And then get one of the newer launched devices. Or get one of the high end models from the previous generations.

Ah well, I recommended the 3k Celkon kikat device to someone. Praying I dont have to hide from him in future.
The only grace for me is that I gave the statutory disclaimer about poor performance of sub-7k devices in general...

vohi to. i would not recommend anyone a device that is probably going to be awful when a much better option is available for slightly more (Even though it is double in this particular case but still).

It was despite my warnings that the person insisted on the cheapest possible Android device in 3-4k. I was like, I am giving you the one which I hope will hurt you the least...
