Please suggest best option in price range of 20K-25K.
I finalised HTC Desire 816, but it is out of stock in my region. Flipkart is having 3rd party sellers who are looting and selling it arounf 27K.
What about Moto X ?
Can Nexus be considered ? It is listed at around 27K on Flipkart.

Yet another leak. I think all the leaks are deliberate attempt by company to create a phenomenon a couple of months before launch. Chinese have being doing that since ages - sometimes phones are launched (if they are launched) many months after leaks.

Thanks guys for your useful suggestions.
sagarsheokand did a very significant comparison.
I partly used android for 3-4 months on Samsung Galaxy S Duos which lagged a lot. These days I am on basic phone. The phone I'll be buying will be used for atleast 2--3 years. HTC holds good in evergy department barring screen. Will it's screen quality succeed to last 2-3 years with proper ? or I have to buy Moto X which has better screeen.
also 5.5 inch seems a bit tough to carry in jeans. These 2 points are striking my mind at this moment. I think somewhere around 4.5-4.7 inch would be a better choice.

Hi puneet,

Thanks for liking my post.
It's sad that you were amongst the unfortunate users of Galaxy S Duos. That phone can get awards for lagging.

And when it comes to screen size I like ~5 inch screen. For example Nexus 5 is perfectly sized.

But I think 5.5 inch should be the limit for smartphones. Anything above that is overkill.

Now if Display is the deciding factor then you should definitely not go with HTC. Plus as you said you want to use your phone for 2-3 years, hence I believe in that case you should go with moto or preferably Nexus because these phones, specially Nexus, are bound to get many more software updates.

Whereas in case of HTC you will have to depend on XDA and custom Roms.

Also June-July is a bad time for new purchases specially when Moto X+1 and Nexus 6 (if at all) can be launched anytime.

So could you wait for them launching? You might get your dream deal. See what Amazon did!

Might be asking too much from even Nexus devices. It would be 12 months old in a matter of months and 18 months is usually the support cycle from Google. I don't expect to see Nexus 5 getting support for more than another 12 months. 3 years is just asking for too much.
