All i can say is, pls let me know about the date scheduled for first hearing. To me this suing thing sounds like some1's frustration has crossed its limit.If its for real, then pls scan and put up the copy of those docs and also keep updated about the hearings.If u'll put up dates here, may be some of us will join u in the court.Neway...
 
Ankur is filing the papers at the end of the week. I am sending him my testimonials tomorrow by courier. If you want to chip in, this is the time.
 
Yea rite!, chip in and get kicked out :PI kinda know the consequences so i'll just keep my head out of this crusher.
 
well, i kinda quitted as well... cant let them to log me off... but the blog has enough matter from people who are ready to take sify head's on. he got some people to help him in that.
 
I would like to sue Sify for their service...I shifted from a 128 night time pack to 64 kbps pack...and the sppeds I get is lesser than my dialup :blink: only at nights the speed touches the actual..which is around 8 kbps...I went broadband since last december..initially the 128 pack was good..but I had to call my local CTO..thankfully the CTOs are reasonable good..they would attend to my calls even at 10-11 in da night and come and reset the switch..but I got bugged up calling them every other night...also in the last week of december till first week I had almost irregular speeds and downtimes...when I called up the call centre...they gave me the reason that tsunami has hit chennai and they are transferring data..so a cap on my speed :huh: well I shifted to 64 kbps as I could get the CTO in da mornings..but...the ping started to drp..there was huge data packet loss...also to note when I asked my CTO why the swtich was hanging..he gave me the reason that its due to cold climate..and when I questioned him..he made an excuse that he was joking :angry: well..he changed the switch..put me on a new port..but still nothing..ultimately he even changed the whole sirre leading to my home...well that put hte ping on the fastrack..but again..the 64 kbps was giving me a 32 kbps speed..I have made umpteenth number of calls to the sify....I have noted down all the error logs..all the connection logs..and ready to fire at them...but before suiing them for damages I would like to know more about the legal info..also to note that..I belong to a high profile family..and it will definetly get more media coverage..well..I aint doing this for any fame or anything..but just to let the people know about the bad ethics of sify :)

It's definitely a good thing that you are taking on Sify. When many cases are filed against Sify then it would be better than a lone effort.

I would suggest you take a look at a very relevant thread in the backroom which relates to this. To be able to access the Backroom you'd have to have a minimum of 30 posts though ;)

I have faced local network downtimes a lot when it was the most cold during December here in Delhi.

Pings to the gateway used to stop working mostly (though once when it was very foggy the connection beyond the gateway stopped working)

Though I didn't ask my Sify BA(Business @$$ociate) in detail about what went wrong, I see a similarity between what your CTO told you about your swtich malfunctioning due to the cold and what was happening here, nevermind what he said about it being a joke.

today a so called sify engineer walked down..when I asked him..ti fix the problem..he said he cant do anything about it..and when I sked him..then why have u come..he said..casue I asked for technical @$$itance..and when I questioned again..he said..its problem at the backend in the server and he only an engineer :mad:
 
incase anyone hasnt noticed..the max character limit to type in your p@$$ in the "my accounts" section is only 8..so initially if u registered with a character of more than 8 characters..u cannot change the p@$$ using hte my accounts function :D
