heh. i do not think any government body sees at anonymous as saint. they are breaking the laws in every single country no matter what they think or believe. and that is how revolutionaries behave. they do things that the people in power does not approve off. so it's not like it changes anything.

But, they do need the support of the masses, right ? If would be anons in India start doubting the intentions and motives of their legion (:P), that would cause the movement to loose steam, and if Reliance play their cards right, that well might happen.

in what country has anonymous made any difference? in america, public protests did not change anything against the 1%... in india, JLP movement failed despite the efforts of IAC. anna keeps on saying that he would fast until death for the establishment of the JLP but government managed to handle it just fine.

because they make for interesting 'news'? i mean i am reading articles on leaks from the mark zuckerberg wedding. the wedding was so secretive that there is a competition amongst the popular blogs to find out some or the other information and post it online. mainstream media does not care because it offends their advertisers. blogs would post about anything and everything as long as they bring in the hits.

yeap. i am very much interested in seeing what they have planned for june 9 and beyond. and how much damage they are able to cause. in any case, i do not see the government giving a shit about random websites going down. the problem is simple. if they target a service that is used by the common man, they end up hurting the common man. in an interview, they said that they did not target the irctc because it affected the common man. what is the point of targeting services that does not cause a disruption to service affecting the masses?

Yup, they're walking a thin line, they need the support but also need to be noticed in order to further their aims, classic case of conflict of interests. They cant ddos sites for ever. If they manage to take a major part of rcom's network down, that'd be awesome :D . Prolly, not gonna happen though.

the real damage would be hack of the internal networks of reliance and other companies and release of the documents in public. documents that would cause embarrassment to the company's top honchos.documents that prove that the companies are involved in illegal blocking of the web services. frankly speaking, we need a body like EFF here in India that can take the legal route and ask the government on why such things are happening especially considering they go against the constitution of india.
