i guess the cause of the problem is not ur dishits just that the signal is not recieved during heavy rainsand cloud covercorrect me if iam wrong

The signal coming from satellite is received by dish & reflected to LNB. More the size of dish, more signals are captured & sent to LNB. While raining actually signals get weak before reaching dish, so if capture area (dish size) is increased, the reception may improve while raining. You can try it if ready to spend & experiment

^^^No idea, but big size dish may be available in the shop where now a days lots of DTH stuff is available
