Anyone got Reliance Big TV DTH?

well good for u,but i have heating problems ,i also got the service engineer admit to the customer care that my STB gets hot.customer care response "sorry for the inconvinence".

You should ask for other comany's STB. We have Hyundai STB.

i know how to use it,but it occasionally doesnt come.
Just updates your Software manually, It will be work.

well i wanted english not HINDI.

Just choose English Option. You have no problem! I checked it and it works!

well i dont like it in any other language except english ,since cartoons like looney toons,pink panther etc isnt even worth watching know the characters sound dumb and odd.

Nothing we can do! We only hope it from Pogo. You can also check Nick which is almost 18 hours Hindi channel now.


One thing we notice that those are techical problems and wish it solved. I guess new Hyundai STB is looking good since no major problems!

about the new stb ,according to the service engineer they will replace it only after the commercial launch,the engineer also told me not use the additional heatsinks/fans that i installed ,since he told that even if it gets kapoot infinite times within 1 year they will replace it.so after i did stop using the heatsink/fan the STB freezes,so when i am watching something intresting, it freezes and i have to shut it down so resumed using H sink/fan.

already updated the software and firmware.

the problem is certain times they mix it up,instead of english hindi comes or vice versa,and it varies b/w discovery group and star group(NG,Hist ch)they will be in different languages and its realy annoying to change the settings each time.

well some one other than the customer care deaprtment told me it was the fault of POGO broadcasters while POGO replied they transmitt in both feed and the BIG tv has selected the hindi feed.

I am BIG TV dealer not a broker. and i got BIG TV connection under employee offer. in which u hv to pay 1000rs towards STB & Installation and 975 rs for 3 months advance subscription. Launching date is not my problem it will launch when Mr.ambani wants to launch BIG TV.

Yeah I can understand about STB.

Regarding, Audio, we have no problem with it. It should be problem in STB itslef.

ok guys its been nearly 3months since i got my big tv connections and the problems just keep coming.

1> the STB still gets heated up despite being replaced by another one although of the same make and model as before.

2>the channel line ups which is sorts the channels like news,sports,movies no longer works.

3>the EPG guide doesnt show the next content in most of the channels.

4> the 16:9 mode doesnt work despite connecting via component cable,the 16:9 option is just a dummy doesnt work.

5>the annoying big tv symbol still hasnt been addressed.

6>the menus,channel changing can sometimes takes ages atleast once in a day.

7>certain times the there is a loss in signal,and sometimes the video quality degrades.

8>there is a option to choose the audio either in english(default) or hindhi .now these options are available in national geography,history channel,discovery,animal planet.but at certain times NG CH,History Ch comes in hindi despite being at default settings ,but now if u choose the option hindi it comes in english except discovery and animal planet.

9> POGO always comes in hindi,so cartoons are no longer funny.

so i am begining to hate BIG tv,hope they sort it out when launched commercialy.

i think these are enough reasons given by adder , which clearly indicate that big tv is still not ready for a nation wide launch, as there are still so many bugs that need to be fixed :wall:

No I cried because he was the person who said it will start on 24th June and when the date neared he changed. So I cried for that.
