Anyone got Reliance Big TV DTH?

and beaten by the X series which is the top end but not released in India yet.

the x series is available in india for a long time .but the W series is better then the X series sold in india,the 2008 X series model is only launched in japan and is on pre order in europe .
the X series you have is called KLV-46X350A which is a old model, the W series which is sold in india is called KLV-46W400A which is a better model then the X series.

Hey what was the cost of that Sony Hd Lcd Tv? And for bigtv,how is the picture in hd tv? Perfect? Becoz if i buy that sony lcd,then i will watch sun direct or Tata Sky on that.So only i am asking abt the quality.

well if u want a sony base model 32inch S series lcd like KLV-32S400A will cost 37000 in grey market and 43000 in showrooms.
if u want a slightly better 32inch V series KLV-32V400A will cost 41000 in grey market and 48000 in showrooms.
if u want a sony FULL HD 32inch W series lcd KLV-32W400A will costs 52000 in grey market and 60000 in showroom,now this tv has around 65% more contrast then the S and V series its also FULL HD.
yes the quality is great on all the above tvs.the S and V series differs only by the aesthetics.

guys my neighbour got a new hyped big tv ... but you have rightly pointed out the pixelation problem.... their picture quality cannot be compared to DVD..

The new W series is made in malayasia so I went for the X series which looks amazing.

u might have bought the ur tv in 2008 ,ur tv might also be advertised in a 2008 catalog,but soon i mean very soon its going to be replaced by the new KDL-??X4500 models.which will be in the 2008 catalogs dont forget Sony releases atleast 2 catalog a year

the main important thing in lcd are the contrast , ur old X series had a contrast about 2000:1 were as the W series has a contrast of 3000:1.
i agree that the X350A series which u have has the motion flow 100hz+ scan which does improve picture quality but the sheer contrast advantage of the W series make it a better buy in terms of perfomance.
the X series might be expensive but u are comparing a lcd which has a last years samsung SPVA panel to a W series which has a new samsung SPVA panel with more contrast.

so the new X4500 model which has not been released anywhere in asia other then japan where its called XR1 has the same panel used in W series but has motion flow 2 which scans at 200hz which is twice as more then ur X350A model,also the new X4500 model has bravia engine2.

and lastly it doesnt matter where the lcd is made be it japan,malayasia,thailand sony still keeps the quality same.
do u know that in the grey market in india the dealers used to give a option whether u want a X series made in japan or malayasia,the price difference is Rs15000 but the quality is the same ,so nowdays they dont get the X series made in japan since no one buys them.

well grey market is the place where the shops sell the lcds without warranty and its cheaper because they dont pay the taxes like customs duties,VAT etc and u dont get bill.
now some people will be hesitating to buy in grey market,since we dont get warranty i was one of them but i decided to buy it in the grey.
sony only gives a years warranty so big deal,i just checked if it had dead pixels and backlight bleed,also my lcd box was factory sealed and the seal was removed in front of me,lcds in grey market usually comes from thailand so does lcds from authorised showrooms.

When he bought this we had the option of buying the W series, we actually went to buy the W series but since it wasn't made in japan we let it go. Plus the actual TV itself looks cheap, the plastic used looks like LG or something, while the X series looks Great in our opinion.

well did i say they dont make them in japan ,i said they dont sell tv assembled in japan in grey market .well we are talking about performance.if u want to argue about made in japan or assembled in japan stuff u can go ahead, made in japan doesnt mean its better .

now a u are saying that the X series is costlier which i agree ,we are talking about perfomance,its like comparing a BMW 7 series which is costlier to say a BMW M5 which is performance.

the fact of the matter is the X350A uses a generation older panel then the W series which has a new panel more contrast.

well if u find the X350A series better, good for u.
