does replacing the username and password in BSNL modem with other users username give us the speeds of that user ? has anyone tried it on ftth ? . Thanks

No, using someone else's username and password won't give you their speed since in the back-end your port is linked to your account and their account to there own port so it simply won't authenticate even with the right credentials, and yes i have tried it

If BSNL doesn't have port binding enabled then it would work. But, just like with DSL, Fiber ONTs are also provisioned to the user plan speed, so if say you have a 50Mbps plan and used a 100Mbps user ID, you would still get only 50Mbps speed.

Edit:- well, there you have it, it would not work due to the port binding.

If you are using some other userid then you wont get any speed as there will be an authentication failure.
