Apple iOS

But @Hardik7 most people will say that the features from one iOS to another is not great (like android) so it can be ported to older phone. But as of now i feel, the iPhone 4 is still a very capable phone and most apps and games work absolutely fine on them. One notices almost no or very very less sluggishness at all.
iPhone 4 is the best deal for any mid range phone. iOS is always been built on industrial strength foundation of OS X (UNIX) with Cocoa touch. It has intrinsic powerful capabilities for lot of tasks. And that is why there is almost no lag on iPhone 4 even though it is running intrinsity Apple A4 (Single core Cortex-A8) underclocked at 800 MHz.
And iPhone 4 will run iOS 7 without any fuss. Apple will obviously omit some of the features which the three years old processor can't handle. They do this because they want to conserve their great battery life & constant 30 FPS throughout. Sometimes they also do this for their business strategy of forcing people to buy the latest device.
People criticizes that Apple doesn't give this feature & that feature. Isn't Apple capable of providing sum of all features of Android, WP etc have combined & some more? They are. But they won't give it unless they have perfected it & it must not affect the performance & battery. They have messed up a lot in Mobile Me & Maps.
Third party Apps default could be the great example of that. My dad recently bought the very popular SwiftKey for his Galaxy Nexus & he made it as the default keyboard. Now after a while, the device started lagging a little. Especially when he pressed the home button in any app, it was taking a while for all of content of home screen to appear. It's frustrating. Overall keyboard performance is bit slow compared to stock. The problem got solved by going back to default Android keyboard. What's the moral of the story?
Apple ain't stupid!

nope. iPhone 3gs definitely does not have wallpaper support.
ok. i am not sure but it was definitely one of the missing features when ios 4 or 5 was announced. they might have changed that with ios6. no definite source to clearly find out the removed features in progressive ios updates for older models. Apple is clever like that.
For iPhone 3GS. It does have have the wallpaper support.

Android was largely feature complete 2-3 years ago.
And this is the biggest pile of shit I have ever heard. Android still isn't.
They don't have reader. Forget about the rest of the features which Android doesn't have. (Do Not Disturb, Reading Lists, Shared Links, Lyrics etc etc) This one beats it hands down.

My iPhone 3G running iOS 4 has wallpapers.

So third party apps default is the crucial feature to look for in a phone? Majority don't care about it.
While Safari Reader helps a big time by removing the Google clutter of Ads. And people browse the internet via phone & tabet right? Shared links & reading lists are essential in doing just that.
60% mobile web share of iOS shows how much people are utilizing from an iPhone while compared to 24% Android mobile web share. Even after selling billions of android devices, iPad still holds 82% tablet web market share. Just like iOS is more profitable for apps selling, it also holds the maximum black friday mobile shopping percentages.
Lyrics. Any world music lover will know the importance of Lyrics. And Play music is legions behind in terms of UI also.
And this will go on & on..

Both OS have their unique features & usability. They tend to stand against each other in basic developments standpoint. Hence their users often contradicts themselves against each other. It actually could benefit both sides by sharing the neutral viewpoint & criticism. But it should be done with pure technical pov.
Sometimes I sense the fandroids believe their OS as superior than rest of the bunch. So that false pretense must be removed. In India I see lot of criticisms & hate towards Apple. Especially for iPhone. Many of those comes from fandroids who simply can not afford the iPhone hence they choose the other cheaper alternatives of Android & starts bashing the iOS. They often forget that back in 2007 & 2010 who started it all.. .. .

You obviously have not used Chrome.. I can start reading an article on the web on my phone, save link to website on my phone, pick up my tablet and acxess the same webpage from there and continue reading/browsing, move over to my laptop and I can access the link and continue from there too.. And I am not bound by devices from a single manufacturer or eco system. That's the flexibility Google services offer and they are a key part of Android. Apple sucks when it comes to services. Also, simple things like being able to choose the services and apps that suit me and the ability to customize my device to my preferences or usage style are lacking in iOS. If I open a link from my email it opens in Safari by default. If I don't like Safari I cannot opt not to use it. Same with maps and several other apps. I have so many 3rd party apps available in the app store (a lot of them are better than a lot of Apple's own stock apps).. I can download/purchase them, but I cannot opt to use those apps as default. How ridiculous is that?I'm not an Android nor Apple fanboy, I own both Android and iOS devices. I just call out and accept the flaws in both as I see them. There are some things that a are better than the other in both platforms. However, as we stand today, Android definitely has the edge when it comes to the overall experience.
