I remember some release of Android 6.0 had battery issue, and Google fixed it with upgrade in 1 week. Similarly Windows Phone 8 had battery issue and Microsoft fixed it in very soon. So iOS is also just another Mobile OS with all shortcomings other mobile OS faces

My iOS update to 11.0.1 is stuck at update requested since yesterday.

It was downloading yesterday then something happened and downloading stopped .. and kept showing 8 minutes remaining forever.

So I rebooted the phoe and then ever since its just showing "Update requested"

Well iOS 11 has more issues than battery drain.

For example - the time on the clock is not in sync with the actual time. The attention to detail is gone after Steve Jobs left. they fixed it in 11.01 update.

@amish, Mine only took around 20 min to update to 11.01

I rebooted phone 3 times.. still stuck on "update requested"

Looks like i will have to fix it via itunes.

Forgot to mention that after about 25-30 hrs of wating at "update requested", it finally downloaded it.

But battery drain is now even horrible. iPhone now lasts only 8-9 hours and then needs charging.

They released another update! 11.0.2. This time it updated immediately without me having to wait.

hows 11.0.2? My 6s friend got it last night and now the battery seems to be stable.

I havent fully recharged phone yet.... will let it drain to zero first then full charge it

And then let it reach back to zero.

But it does seem slightly better. But not as good as iOS 10.

11.0.3 out.... too frequent now.

Iirc it's always been like that whenever a major release is out.
