ah man. anyone here who has disconnected his reliance broadband connection. how hard was the procedure?

i had disconnected the service some 3-4 years ago by calling their cust. care and the service was disconnected but the guys still haven't come to collect back their caller id phone or the router they had provided with the connection....the router also has its own power backup...so it might come handy someday!!

need some information.

if i am correct, reliance logs you out after every six hours. am i right?

Every 24 hours.

Every 30 mins. if you remain idle i.e. if there's 0 data transfer.

no one seems to have a solution for the login screen requirement.

upload speeds are supposed to be bad on reliance broadband.

Login screen ain't that bad. Install LastPass and use its auto-login function to automate the process.

I'm getting 75-80 KBps up on my 1 Mbps down connection.

Btw, I'm surprised that you decided to opt for Reliance! :O

Now waiting for Tikona guy today to come and give Demo :Wait:
Mark my words: You're going to regret if you opt for Tikona. :|

reliance was a better option than BSNL. in any case, i have applied for stop payment on the check. standard chartered asked for too many details. i did not have all. so not sure if it would work. online banking shows that money has not been deducted till now. but cannot trust it. i believe that they update their system once a day :Dreliance guy called me just now. told him i am not interested. i am chickening out.

It seems that Reliance Sales Guy are doing some good service there. But not in Mumbai, Broadband guy denied due to no cabling, Wimax Guy didn't bothered to revert back, Tikona Guy didn't came for Demo even after 3 times calling on call centre, TATA is Quite costly, Hathway I don't like. Now Last option is Airtel Broadband. Filled Online form on Saturday. TAT for reverting is 3 working day. :(Hope they have cabling in my area, else would have to use Reliance Netconnect Plus for rest of the life :tremble:

I'd still insist on urging you to go for it, the cheapest package 299 INR or something like that; you can check out the consistency of the connection for a month or so, then upgrade if you are satisfied with it.There's this thing with disconnection though, they will send you an "early termination charge" bill amounting to 1700/ or thereabouts, happened to me when i unsubscribed once before out of frustration with the service and switched to Hathway, which proved to be a horrible experience lasting 3 months, snapped up the Reliance offer as soon as their rep. visited me after that. Of course, if you know me you will have guessed that i asked them to stuff that early termination bill "where the sun don't shine" because i had genuine grounds then. Still have the modem and telephone from the first connection. Things have been all lovey-dovey between us since then, it's been over 3 years of good service, i even have the mobile numbers of the technical support staff in my area, and that of their billing department whom i call every month to collect the monthly payment from my residence.
