Are Daikin ACs worth the premium?

I am considering getting a three star 1.8T unit from Daikin to replace my aging 2T Carrier AC.
I have just checked the prices online. I believe it would cost me in the range of 40-45K depending upon the source.
The 5 star model costs around 8-10K more.
Wanted an idea if it is worth it. Assuming it would last me at least 10 years, I would not mind paying a premium over Hitachi or other brands.

Googling tells me that it is only needed if your area has too much power fluctuations which well is the case for me. :'(

man today has been another special day. power is going and coming back every five minutes. i have been offline practically the whole night as a result. and my old ac? it's crying.
Daikin delivered the hardware last night. hopefully it gets installed with no issues by afternoon when the mausam would be at its cruelest. and then all hopes would be pinned on the beloved DHBVNL.

Inverter model very much needs a stablizer
Singlenormal booster stablizer should be given free of cost.It's a common practice across ac vendors. If they charge for the stablizer. Atleast make sure you 're getting Dualtriple booster stablizer. Unlike single booster. Dual booster elevates the required power that ensures smooth running of ac even when there is a low voltage (Below 220-180). Whereas single booster will cut off when it don't get the required power. Triple booster for the places where the fluctuation is below 180v.
Dual booster costs around 4.5k. Triple booster around 6k

At my place I have installed stabilizer which elevates voltage from 90 volts, that is the situation in Uttar pradesh Guess what, there are times even that is failed at times

a/c installed?
They started at 3pm. Disappeared to get a different compressor stand at 5. Just came back again. I practically fainted becoz of the heat. :-\ Now waiting for final stuff.

Regular power cuts are not helping as well. They used the existing pipes as they were in good condition. Saved a couple of thousand rupees on that. Hopefully it doesn't hurt the performance of the ac.
