This is for all DTH/Cable TV Viewers: Are we being cheated by the channel providers, the question here is that what is the official program content to ad content ratio on a per hour basis. The channel providers have started putting small ads in the 4 corners of the TV screens, many times you see various size tickers at the bottom of the screen during the program and many such gimmicks are done by channels. A 30 min serial is reduced to a 15-17 min serial. Isn't there some guideline that is put up by the Indian Govt. which these channel providers have to follow. :madness:The same thing applies to sports channels. It is even more annoying in this case as it is a "pay extra channel" and during a match our TV screen is reduced to a 14 inch TV set with ads popping all over the place. During the 3 ODI at kanpur on NEO channel In a slow motion replay the Airtel ad kept popping up exactly at the place where the ball is landing on the field which was very very annoying to me. What I want to know is that is there no law which can prevent such kind of gimmicks and allow viewers to see the match as it is supposed to be. The first ball of the over and the last ball of the over is skipped by the channels regularly we all have seen this happen for many years now.I don't know how many viewers have thought the same about this matter but if you see in the long run what is ratio to actual content seen by the viewer with respect to the ads shown. I think we will be shocked by the results.Your views please .........
