shipped already. seems to be coming from tohana which means haryana itself. should get it tomorrow.

I guess it’s time to update this thread. I got the delivery on time. Everything was in order unlike the last time I tried ordering their fan. This fan does not have the option turn off the led light if the main switch is turned on (and fan is turned off). Minor annoyance. Apart from that everything has been simply fine. Remote is good. I am not sure if I like it over Superfan which has been working great for more than a few years now. This one does look more like a normal fan compared to Superfan.

You can now buy extended warranty for these fans.

So my Atomberg had been behaving weirdly for the last 2-3 days. Randomly turned off. Made squeaky noise but ran fine most of the time. Got lucky and managed to record a video at around 5am when it did the same while i was sleeping.

Filed a complaint. Turned out that their Gurgaon support guy lived close to my place and he arrived today itself and replaced the PCB. Seems to be working fine now.

PCB costing 500 rupees. Labor charges Rs. 300. He was doubtful about the validity of my warranty based on the bill. Company Support App showed him that it is still covered so he did not take any money and left.

This is how the central unit looks like opened up.

so a different problem exists now. at speed 5 fan slows down on a random interval for a second. as if it was turned off and on quickly. i sent the video to their service engineer guy on sunday night. he did not respond today. would call him tomorrow to see if i need to create a new service request or he can come directly and see what can be done. on lower speeds, fan seems to run fine. very annoying.

so this fan died two days ago at night just when i was trying to get started with working lol.
went out of warranty in may. company stopped offering extended warranty few months ago.
i had a feeling it would be pointless to get it repaired outside warranty but still filed a complaint.
got a call in the morning and it seemed like i would be paying around 1500 rupees including a new pcb and visitation charges.
i mean pcb might not have required replacement but they really do not do anything else but change the parts on the fan.
decided against getting it repaired and replaced the dead fan with a old fashioned havells fan.

two other atomberg fans at my place are still under warranty and i really doubt they are going to last as long as old style fans. not sure if i would replace the havells with another atomberg next year but for now it would have to do.

really should have taken the three year extended warranty last year when it was available lol. anyways. it seems like company was getting too many issues with out of warranty fans so they gave up on the idea of selling extended warranty. my superfan from many many years ago is still running fine without any issues. though is now noisy at lower speeds. i tried contacting company to see if they can send a technician. there was zero response to all support requests through multiple channels.

I have efficio 1200mm, led is on but fan doesn't work. Remote is working fine, led on the fan is responding but it won't rotate. Any idea what could be wrong?

Probably some component supplying power to the induction coil gone bad. They would probably replace the main PCB. Costs around 800-900 bucks iirc.
