ATTN: Borivli, Mumbai Triband users

I received an unexpected call from the DGM - Triband, Borivali exchange on a complaint made earlier today regarding low SNR margins and fluctuating speeds. He wanted to know if there were a substantial number of users who were getting affected and that would help him diagnose the problem.

So, if anyone in Borivli is facing issues with Triband viz. low SNR margins and frequent disconnects since yesterday, August 03 2007, pm me your phone numbers so I can pass it on.

DE-BB: Kindly get the number tested on PEM and line attributes can be
checked pl.
If line parameters are ok, fiber pwer loss from T2 to DSLAM needs to be
checked pl.

For the past few days, my SNR margins have dropped and my broadband speeds have dropped from 2048Kbps to 1120Kbps and at times even lower.

Will you please investigate this and restore it to the 2048Kbps that I am being billed for.

Iam also facing such speed related problems from few days. They say the cable isn't proper and they started my work.

I'm also In Borivali(W) but I am connected to the Charkop Exchange.
I dunno about the speed problems U guys have been having,
But last night While I had uTorrent + RS + Linux Distro Downloading all at the same Time,I was able to get 3.65mbps stable for over 3 hrs continuously(DU Meter readings)

Even Right now I'm synced at 1399kbps but DL'ing at 2.46mbps:thumbsup:

With speeds like this I don't wanna complain.............
When I suffer,someone else gains...When I gain,some one else suffers?
You think they are diverting bandwidth between exchanges?Is that possible?

Dumeter is not very accurate always, have u checked ur speeds on any intl test site?

I am from Borivali(connected via Poisar exchange), me too seen low speeds with disconnections. ADSL light wavering a lot....telephone line has no disturbance when I pickup the phone line. something is definately wrong.

If u are using Bride mode and have set up DU meter to monitor all interfaces( LAN and dial up) it will show up exactly double speeds coz its measuring data thru LAN as well as the bridged mode (dial up). For Bridge mode set DU meyter to monitor only the Dial up interface

The dudes came and fixed my line a month back. snr is up. i have no problems at night constant rate of 1.6 Mbps but daytime browsing is completely hellish. have to constantly disconnect and reconnect.any ideas?

Days are bad,I guess (almost) everyone experiences sluggish speeds at that time of day.And I dont think anyone can find a solution coz I believe its Not User or Exchange specific,But related to the high Gateway traffic and the resultant speed drops
