There is general perception that bikes produced 10-15 year back were of good quality and served longer to their customers without much hassle. Its the recent times when competition is very high and companies want to cut costs in some way. And many of them compromise on quality.

To be honest honda is struggling in both segment. they really need to update their cars withe current needs and work on their transmission.
whenever I take my amaze for service its a real headache.

@SVK Frankly speaking, this is the standard behavior of most service centers in India. One should be well aware of the patterns and red flags. The very first time I read that the service center had asked him to wait until the first service, I was worried that he was in for a long ride, and it turned out to be true in all the worst ways possible. 🫠

I’m not blaming the customer for expecting professionalism from a company like Honda, but one should also not forget that this is “India,” and people don’t like acknowledging product issues as the first course of action. It is very much possible that the service centers never really did anything to solve the issue, simply cleaned the bike of oils and gave it back to him. They were waiting for a few thousand kilometers on the ODO following which they could take the second course of action: blame the damn customer for mishandling the product. They wouldn’t be able to do that until the bike has certain mileage. 🤷

So Honda is surely out from list of reliable brand :)

This could very well be an ASS issue. But based on general customer feedback, it appears Honda India might be the one at fault and is okay with this.
