While pure EVs might be the perfect solution for countries that predominantly utilise renewable energy, for other countries such as India, Japan and Switzerland, hybrid electric vehicles could be more suitable in the short to medium-term as they do not depend on energy sources but rather generate their own while lowering emissions and fuel-consumption significantly.
