Below are some highlights of the changes, though we encourage you to review the updated Terms in full before they take effect.These updates apply to both new and existing Backblaze customers and will take effect on April 16, 2026.
What’s changing:
Reorganized Terms into two parts (website use and product/service use), with a new standalone Acceptable Use Policy
Updated account security requirements, including mandatory multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Clarifications on how Backblaze services are intended to be used
Additional details on service performance, updates, and supported environments
Expanded terms around acceptable use, system stability, resource usage, and liability
