check the General category options in Dumeter....In here see the Network Adapters option.....

happened to me before because it used to account for both LAN and the connection itself....Deselect anyone and you should be fine....

Hi,Someone in our office are misusing our office bandwidth for their personal use. Watching Youtube/downloading personal stuffs etc.We cannot manually keep a track of who is doing what. Is there any program that would show us which terminal is using how much bandwidth?We are on a D-Link wi-fi router.Please helpThanx

Will it monitor all nodes on my workgroup?

I just did a Google search
Bandwidth meters for different computers in a LAN
and this was the first link.
It is a paid program about $20/- .
The details in their web page claim it will show BW usage separately for each node.
Whether trial period is available no idea. Bandwidth Meter Pro is an easy-to-use network software for bandwidth usage monitoring, reporting, and notification. It monitors traffic of all network connections on your computer and displays graphical and numerical download and upload speeds in real-time (refer to screen shot below). It logs bandwidth usage and provides how much bandwidth was used by each network connection on your computer in daily, weekly and monthly. Bandwidth Meter Pro works with the majority network connections including modem, ISDN, DSL, ADSL, cable modem, wireless network cards, Ethernet cards, VPN, and more. It is fully compatible with Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, and Windows Vista.

Refer this thread...
https://broadband.forum/mtnl-broadb...usage-details/ (MTNL Broadband: Backdated usage details)
See my posts there.
I have no issues with Datafox itself, it faithfully reports the mtnl records, but what if the source itself is lagging?
Can there be a Netmeter like extension for FF, like Datafox?

You can get daily D/L u/l and total with Shaplus 1.1 ( since MTNL does not count U/L may not be useful for MTNL users )
From another thread. Check daily or weekly to keep within limit.
Why depend only on MTNL usage site ?

Tautology Bandwidth Meter - Internet Traffic Usage Monitor Try Tautology meter for upto date usage data. D/L U/L shown separately.Your NU can be excluded.

UPdate1134 PM: thanks for update @dark_horizon. ( useful for @a users )
ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter - Freeware to display bandwidth consumed for session, day and month

@essbebe
Thanks for that post ess. Your posts are very informative.
I am replying after a gap, as i downloaded the programs you suggested, and installed them all, for a neck-to-neck comparison.

Net-meter v1.1.3 (was already using)
Tautology Bandwidth Meter v1.5
ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter v1.5

My results of use so far:
1. The bandwidth usage recorded by all of them is by and large within same range, no major discrepancies.
2. Active memory usage of all three was ~ 2.3 MB in my comp, though memory imprint of Netmeter was more (~3 MB) than the others (~1.7 MB)
3. Net meter has two distinct advantages over the other two, that i could find:
a> It shows the current usage directly on your screen, instead of having to hover over the icon in system tray. {which i find very handy}
b> It has an option to export the totals logged so far, as a csv file that can be opened with excel. So the logged totals can be saved.

Looking forward to your (and others') views and other suggestions.
