Okay just got my broadband today. A guy came and installed the modem and left a firmware file. i updated "Binatone" modem firmware into my beetel 450tc2 modem :'( :'( :'(i tried all firmwares available online but noone worked. everytime i try to install the new firmware, it says "Error, router cant support this file" or something like that.PLEASE Help me out! i owe you my life guys please! :'( PLEASE!!! im gonna die :'((the binatone firmware was in .004_ras format)

First reset the modem with 30-30-30 reset method...some posted the link for TP-Link firmware for 450tc2 in this forum few days back...flash it and you should be good to go...till the time you don't try the 30-30-30 method it wont accept any firmware. Google 30-30-30 reset if you don't know.

okay i downloaded that file, it has no extension just "ras" and again its "The file is not acceptable by the router". Do i need to add some extn like ".ras" or something? btw the firmware i installed was in ".004_ras" format.

You have a Beetel modem. You are trying to load Binatone firmware?

Did you do the 30-30-30 hard reset ?
Yes i did :/nevermind..its working in my modem now but the internet and DSL lights are not blinking...my brother got mtnl's modem and the firmware is almost same as beetel one. is there any way to copy its firmware?

If it's working, then you have to enter the username, password, check the VCI value, VPI value, encapsulation settings etc
See here, someone has posted his settings.
