Best ISP in Gurgaon supporting peering

Download speed is not a real problem for DSL. Airtel already has 16 Mbps plans in my area. Problem is Upload speeds. Very difficult to push upload speed even just to 1 Mbps on DSL.

Ok. But the age of torrent files will be very limited because. I don't think ISP would dedicate its server to build big archive of torrents.

as you can see in this thread, this is a feature that attracts a lot of people. you do not really need to rent a datacenter... a single server with a couple of TBs of storage is good enough. the legality of storing potentially copyrighted content is a major hassle so it remains popular with smaller ISPs only.

Yes i remember. As i mentioned about one of ISP in my locality. His pamphlet stated download new movies in just 10 minutes. So these probably were files on their local server which they can provide at high speed on small LAN network.

I remember there was a time when we didn't have DTH providers or digital cable network. We used to pay 100 Rs for out shabby cable with 40 channels. Good thing was that our cable providers used to have channel dedicated for new movies. We could watch new movies (VHS quality) as soon as it releases. Though all that was illegal due to copyright infringement.

Now i understand why people want local peering network.

But if you want new movies, games or music. Why take so much hassle to find ISP with local peering?

We all know business in Delhi. I have roadside shop at market near my home. He sells movies/games/music/tv series both old & new releases at 30 Rs / DVD. A DVD with 5 in 1 movie new release at 30 Rs. That's as cheaper as it can get. Similarly there are games & music.

If you have gone to Nehru place. You can find all software & games for 30-40 Rs/DVD.

You are right. You can't find everything on these local guys. All they offer is stuff that is popular among public. Mostly new Bollywood movies & music. (I personally am not interested in that stuff)

I download stuff from internet which is unavailable anywhere else.

But i know some people who Download from torrent sites, stuff they can buy cheaply. Why waste 30-40 GB of your bandwidth/electricity/time downloading new GTA game from internet when you buy it on grey market for 100-200 Rs (considering multiple DVDs)?

my brother buy cds from the local market for recent movies and stuff. they are busy people who come late from office and have to leave early in the morning. no time to hunt for stuff and then wait for it to download.
