Best plan for a secondary number

It would have been successful if the merger between mtnl and bsnl would have been completed with a sense of urgency and allowed to compete with other players.

I have a secondary Sim on bsnl. The cheapest plan available here is ₹106/84 days. But the network here is pretty bad for even to receive sms

@Tejas01 - Does BSNL allow SMS from talktime balance (Vi does not seem to and I have 65 bucks there).

I don't think why it shouldn't. I don't have bsnl(Mumbai) but on MTNL, my balance is ₹50 and I sent an SMS to myself just to confirm your query.
AFAIK, bsnl, mtnl don't have the concept of double balance as in Vi and Airtel.

If that's the case then I would probably switch the 2nd one to bsnl and look at 106/84 days and or 197/397 plans and add some talktime.

He reverted back with availability of 55Rs.plan and below charges for converting to corporate post paid plan.

1-2 Number's ₹700 Each

3-4 Number's ₹600 Each

5+ Number's ₹500 Each

What is the current recommendation for this? Who offers the cheapest plan for keeping a number active?

Unfortunately (atleast in some places based on service) BSNL.

I believe I recharge for 201 for 90 days and then wait for another 7 days for incoming to stop & then recharge again.. so kind of Rs. 2 per day approx.
