best wifi security mode?

Right. The uncle in the neighbor would be able to do all this and more.
Hiding SSID is good enough for casual people in your vicinity. It is a sureshot security measure? No.
 
So WPA2-PSK with strong password is unbreakable today? I mean people have access to quad core machines with super powerful GPUs. How long would it take for someone to crack through a wireless network?
 
10+ characters passwd it's going to be a very long(months maybe years)....time when exclusively used for this purpose

Given enough time & resources, it may be hacked in months/years but it's very unlikely that someone is gonna keep hammering your router for months on end just to steal your wifi, so that they can browse at 2 to 4 mbps or even slower.

The hacker might even commit suicide after he founds out that it is Airtel/BNSL connection with 256 kbps post FUP :playful:
