members/makubex/Not much complaints about MT882 SmartAx. Except the on/of switch in used models seems intermittent./delicate ( I am using same for past one year ). Not suitable for Bittorrents downloads . i think, as connection is lost when voltage surges occur. Input 9V AC .8 ampsI think Mt841 is Wireless model but ensure they give the wireless card also. or for any wireless model. seems out of production/out of date. INput 12.4 VAC 1.2 Amps ( MT841)Beetel 220BX1 (ONE) seems to be a vast improvement and with "client Tr089"selected for AIRTEL, reconnection is automatic. Only AirtelISP can be selected now at present..

There are two MT841 modems. One is Type-III and another Type-IV. Actually same modem without and with wireless card.

I'll ask for the siemens one, but i'm not sure i'll get it.UT-300R2U=UT-300RTU no point in me going for 841 or any other wireless modems, no laptops here. are the other SmartAX modems better than 882? 880 and the others i mean

Only if you are renting the modem you have to depend on BSNL. For outright purchase you have a wide choice.Search in Google India, for ADSL modems Netgear/D-Link/netgear/Linksys/buffalo etc.I find Beetel220Bx1ADSL2+modem a good modem compared to old model 220Bx.

well I asked BSNL, UT-300RTU is the only modem they have. I checked out that modem at portforward.com... it seemed to have port-forwarding & DMZ

yeah, the screenshots on portforward.com are of a modem from MTNL, it seems to have all features
