Big tv sucks big time!!

After a long wait I went ahead and purchased big tv from lajpat nagar web world on the day it got launched and since then I have done nothing but call the customer care center where they have recruited some real dumb ass illiterate CCRs. The problem began on day one with the brand new NON FUNCTIONAL set top box . It took one week to get it replaced and that too with an old set top box that the company had been using for months for demo purpose. When I requested them to replace it with a new set top box I was told none is available at the moment and the earliest that it can be arranged is after a few weeks. So the old set top box is installed after a week and it keeps getting hanged for which it needs to be turned off for a few minutes to get it back to working condition. This goes on for about two weeks and then suddenly the channels stop showing. On calling the CC i am informed that my account got deactivated by itself and it will take at most 48 hrs for the problem to get rectified. Today its been 5 days and still no action taken. All they do is give you a new complaint number and a promise to get the problem fixed as soon as possible.Go for relainace dth service at your own risk!!
 
same old Reliance story, reminds me of the days when my sister bought a reliance mobile under Dhirubhai Ambani Pioneer scheme back in early 2003. :rofl:
 
Yeah...i have had similar experiences with DistTV too..This STB was giving some weird error about not reading the smart card..I lodged a complaint..it took them some 1 week to turn up...after that..they tried inserting the smart card upside down..and other possible ways...they went up to the roof..tried moving the dish around for some time..ALL THIS TIME YOU CAN SMELL SOMETHING IS BURNT INSIDE THE STB...But NO...they couldnt smell it..finally they took it to their service center..claimed to have repaired it...Got it after another 3 days..EXACT SAME THING.....then they took it again..this time had someone else look into it..changed the bloody motherboard..and worked finally...Its a pity they invest so much in marketing but cant have a proper support center...Reliance is a company which has lots of money..but all they are willing to do is sell the damn thing..then forget about the customer..

boyof82 same story with me:cry: i am also using old stb bcoz my stb was dead after 2 days of launching
 
I bought Big Tv dth on 15th Sep from R.Nagar,Bangalore .Even though the office is hardly #kms from my home they just refuse to come . I am fed up with this Big tv guys They neither respond my calls for installation nor they r willing to connect me to their Higher authorities.Some CC doesnt even have the courtesy they just hung up the phone when i mention about the installation complaint.

My Old cable wallah was much better :cry:than this SOB's.


The service stinks & noone's prepared to accept that thier service not only stinks .


How i wish i shouldnt have disconnected the cable
 
@harishask the dealer from which u purchased.....Call the CC and blast dem ...theyll come to install
