"The Congress-NCP government gifted 2.35 lakh sq ft land in Mumbai with a value of over Rs 50,000 crore and profit of Rs 31,500 crore to selected buildings in dubious manner," said BJP national secretary Kirit Somaiya on Tuesday. He said this was the state government's 2G scam and added that the slum redevelopment projects were awarded in a non-transparent and illegal manner.

So this is about why some small developer got the project instead of a bigger one ?

Acc to the 3K rule there isn't any wrongdoing is there ?

This tamasha is like 2G.

Why some companies got preference over others.

First come first served makes it difficult to show anything untoward happened.

Ask yourself these questions :
- What is right size of company with how much holding to get the project ?
- What is correct price to sell ?

If you cannot answer those two then the allegations tendered are just hot air

Same would have happened if a bigger contractor got it. ok, so it does not matter who got the contract.

The process needs more transparency. But how do we go about changing that ?

Corruption or more accurately graft is rife in three areas of the country, govt contracts, real estate & mining. This case scores two out of three. Why select just this one case, there's a ton more to look at. But BJP is desperate to make inroads into maha so they chose carefully. Every goddamn party is up to their eyeballs in this.

Here's another question, why don't the aggrieved contractors go to court over this. Why the need to go to the street. Usually when former is weak then latter is the only option.

And that is fine, but pls extend the net and show more cases. You will be spoilt for choice. Otherwise it comes across as biased, only happens in this area under so and so administration which is the first impression one gets when reading about this case. This is not the exception being highlighted here its the bloody rule.

heh, no i'm saying why are ppl getting involved in corp affair. 2G is about equality of corps to get spectrum. You the ppl do not figure into this equation at all but are being made to feel & think that way by interested parties.

What do you care how much spectrum is sold for. What is correct price for spectrum anyway. That whole affair is just empty talk. Just wait and see what happens. Nothing. Not because we are powerless or govt is powerless but because premise itself was invalid in the first place. I stopped following it after i realised this. Swami mentioned the opposition was very quiet when all this happened two years ago, WTH were they doing in that case. Everybody was on the take and when they got their money and were safe they opened their mouths.

Few fights are worth pursuing, most are just politcal parties trying to earn their keep, media is useless in understanding which matters. They are always the fanboys cheering each and every tamasha. There isn't but you would not oppose chasing the remaining 98 would you. There is nothing to say action cannot be taken against them or that they cannot be caught.

Yes, but can you show me what progress will come from those court cases ? Feb 22 has come & gone, wasn't there some court hearing or other on that date for subramaniam swamy.

CBI was going to carry out its investigation of Raja regardless. Suing Raja was entirely redundant wasn't it.

What does he have to backup this 60,000 crore bribe figure ?
Any non-S.Swamy sources to corroborate those figures ?

CBI will follow whatever the ruling adminstration of the day tells it to do. If Congress is in power then its for them if its somebody else then the same applies.

The problem here is not enough independence is allowed to such bodies. Change that and you get better performance but there has to be a demand from the public to do this because govt does not want to loose this important tool. No minister is going to allow it.
