Upcoming Playbook 3G/4G Hands-on

Exclusive: Hands On 3G, 4G BlackBerry PlayBook | N4BB - BlackBerry news, forums, leaks, rumors, how to

This PlayBook is running Os 2.0.1.354. We also noticed that this PlayBook was actually a little “snappier” (probably due to the new 1.5GHz processor) along with NFC support and of course the ability to connect to a wireless network. I know people will ask, but unfortunately no signs of BBM on this specific device. Also, we heard that BlackBerry Protect will make its way to the PlayBook, but it wasn’t present on the current PlayBook OS.

BlackBerry PlayBook Canadian Marketshare Increases to 19% - N4BB

BlackBerry dead? Canada says no! Acoording to SRG’s Digital Life Canada study, RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook’s tablet market share has increased to 19% in Canada in Q1 2012. SRG also said that there is a clear preference for devices with smaller screens, such as the PlayBook, that make them a lot more portable and have lower prices.

The PlayBook has been getting lots of love lately with a lot of cool new games and apps coming to it, so we can only imagine this number will keep increasing as developers release more and more great apps.

Unconfirmed

4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook launching July 31st, will retail for $549.95 | MobileSyrup.com

We have been informed that the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook will be launching via Bell, and probably other Canadian carriers, on Tuesday, July 31st, 2012. According to the internal Bell document we received it shows the price will be $549.95 outright.

s for the specs, we have those too: 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4G LTE (and HSPA+), OS 2.0, 1GB RAM, 5MP rear camera that shoots 1080p HD videos, 3MP front-facing camera, 4800 mAh battery and will only come in a 32GB version. Overall dimensions are 130 x 193 x 9.7mm and weighs in at 425 grams.

Seems pricey, if true.
