Like I mentioned before, because of leaks & various people trying to root and access it, it had become obvious a while back that BB10 on Playbook may not be as smooth an experience, and I for one had expected them to release a 2.2 (Kind of what Windows did with 7.8 to old devices), to pacify the public & when the news broke that they are no longer seeing tablet as a viable market, even that became a question. But seriously, to keep users happy and potentially create new customers, they could have atleast tried releasing a few patches , like this article mentions...
However, with no BlackBerry 10 scheduled for release, those hopefuls cried for at least the core updates (Cascades, Browser, Android runtime, etc.)
