Really? :|
There are 330 WirelessWave stores across Canada. According to Glentel Inc., the owner of the WirelessWave chain, the BlackBerry Z10 is “leading smartphone” since it went on sale in the stores on February 5th. Glentel says the BlackBerry Z10 has been outselling Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy phones. Though, the company would not provide a specific breakdown of sales numbers.

The dealers are not sure about the final price here, also hearing that stock will arrive on 1-2nd march , delayed....

The jokes do not really exist because Blackberry have always been super expensive devices. Also, I am sure a lot of folks who made these jokes paid more for their iPhones and iPads.

I am thinking BB is targeting the select few device flaunters to buy at this price and then maybe drop to a shade above 35 within/after 3-4 months and stay there for a while.

Blackberrys have traditionally not seen massive price drop. But then they were not typical smartphones until now. Would be a shame if they drop the price significantly within a period of 2-3 months. It would stop people from going for newly launched devices which is only going to hurt them more.

Original BB Torch was launched at 35. Dropped to 30 in 6 months. 22 in 1.5 years. It was then stopped I think.
But then you never know with these companies ....
