Blinkit workers have been protesting since 10 April in parts of NCR. The workers said they are protesting because the minimum fee per order has been reduced to Rs 15 from Rs 25 in the last few days. This has an impact on their daily earnings.

might have mentioned it already but it is kind of annoying that they have completely stopped sending emails since june/july period it seems. and of course, shipping does not seem to be free no matter your order value. i have moved to zepto for products that are not exclusive to Grofers now. but stick to Amazon for larger value products that are not needed immediately.

Delhi: Blinkit staff object to new ‘flat payment rate’ policy

Delivery partners of Blinkit, a grocery delivery app, staged a protest in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar on Monday against the grocery aggregator platform’s decision to shift to a flat payout rate for their services.

Mubin, a delivery worker with Blinkit, said that earlier, the payments ranged between ₹25 and ₹32 per order, allowing them to earn ₹2,000 after a 10-hour workday. “Now, even if we work for 12 hours, we will hardly make ₹1,000 a day,” he said.
