Broadband data transfer

What is the implication of 'Data transfer'? Is it depends on how much time I spent in the net ? My point is - suppose I spent 10 minutes to read a web page and certain amount of data is transfered, now if I spent 20 minutes on the same page without going to any other link , in that case, is the amount of 'data transfer' will be more ?

Download Tweakdun 3.0 or 2.2. and monitor data being transferred.Reset to zero for checking data transfer. Or check in Network/Lan/Statusbytes in out will be shown for all activity.
