Frankly, not desperate for me..however one of my friend needs in emergency and so the question

I'd always suggest bsnl. In 2-3 days, you'll have a working connection.Though, if he needs a temporary connection , 3G would be a better option.

I heard BSNL ain't good in my area: DLF Phase 1. I'm currently on Airtel. Any other options available for the following usage:40GB downloading maximumPS3 Online Gaming everyday(I'm currently on the plan @ ₹1299 which gives me 30 GB FUP at 2Mbps.)

^^ Reliance? They are giving 4mbps unlimited without FUP for 1100.

Not used them but reviews are decent. Most of the complaints were related to billing issues but in an unlimited plan, that shouldn't be an issue.
