Broadband Surprises with Airtel (Free upgrades for everyone)

Called CC, pretended as a customer who wants to subscribe CLIP. He says it is free.
Then I asked him to check my bill. Now he say it is not free.
I gave reference of users in Delhi who have it for free. He says this is charged city specific. You are in Gurgaon.
I gave reference of new users who have it for free. He says, it is charged only for new customers on new plans.

My wifi speeds are pathetic, with frequent drops (signal vanishes). Have changed the modem from the Beetel TC1 to a Tenda N150.

Drops in WiFi signal have to do with the router. Have drops started after switching?

Line stats are not very good, but still manageable. What's the scene like when you connect directly to the router via an Ethernet cable?

Drops were there earlier also, which is one of the nation reasons I changed

Also, attainable downstream rate is 20592. Does that mean that Airtel has the capability of providing 16mbps in my area?
