Things changing now
3G is cheaper than adsl in India

I would very much avoid commenting on unlimited 3G (Vodafone) right now as it would be too early.
But, yeah, it's Rs 300 more for people living in NCR/Delhi,
I was looking for a 3G router and yup it's Price in India: Rs. 5,500/- INR
3G TP-Link router is INR 2100

vodafone is giving unlimited internet on 3G speeds of 3.6mbps and more at 599 rupees... things are changing now !
It is in mumbai

Till the trail period only. I have already received a message "Recharge for 99 get 105MB of data usage" on vodafone.

you guys are confusing this with mobile data plans.sim with voice and data = Rs. 99 recharge = 105MBsim with 3G Stick, only data, no voice = Rs. 599 = unlimited data

What happens if you put the 3G stick SIM card into a mobile phone?

Nothing spl.
3G stick Sim can be used anyway wid phone or with Stick.
In Stick you can only use internet and no calls or sms.
In phone you do everything..

Oh like i was WRT to normal 3G sim card not the stick one!
ok yeah you're right if you're talking about only Stick 3G sim

All plans in Vodafone are based on tariff for EDGE network. None of the plans have been updated for 3G. As soon as the trail period is over, the rates will be set accordingly. Vodafone is yet to officially release 3G data tariff. It is very safe to assume there will be no unlimited 3G internet for 599 (more likely be a huge amount say 1024MB for 599) .

are you sure about that? I haven't heard of/seen any SIM where you can use GPRS/3G and not calls/sms.
