are you sure about that? I haven't heard of/seen any SIM where you can use GPRS/3G and not calls/sms.

A new connection is provided with the purchase of Vodafone USB Stick, the connection has some limitations.

All plans in Vodafone are based on tariff for EDGE network. None of the plans have been updated for 3G. As soon as the trail period is over, the rates will be set accordingly. Vodafone is yet to officially release 3G data tariff.

It is very safe to assume there will be no unlimited 3G internet for 599 (more likely be a huge amount say 1024MB for 599) .
6 GB is being offered for RS 98 in prepaid

that is for mobile not for stick

Its new generation now... In India where broadband will be overtaken by 3G in terms of speed and value for Money !

Its just 2-3 months people will start shifting to 3G routers and throw out the wire based broadband ! If the dsl broadband increases speeds at low costs then only it will survive...

I do not think so. Users who want to have constant stability, speed and good controllable service go for wire line. In addition, 3g is very costly to afford. There is no unlimited word in 3g tariff from which many users are obsessed with including me and about 3g router, it is just a dream to have in future because if I want, I have to import from outside of the country. So, it means I have to pay 5-10k for it and even I will not have access to warranty without sending it back.

for timebeing people are going with wireline broadband as the 3G rates are high.
still Time will take for people to upgrade to 3G and use it. just think, Out of 791 million only 5% of them have 3G supported phones so the tariffs are high and less the people, more the charges.
and every operators have spent heavily on buying the spectrum so they are doing paisa vasool, The 3G can be offered a bit low than what is being offered now.

If i assume the people are more and the 3G tariffs are cheaper there would be limited data offered like Rs 98 2GB or there will be Fup.

There is only way to spread 3g fast. Shutdown 2g network and phone manufacturing. And roll 3g at cheapest rate.
That's the way.
I do not know something happened to me that is why I am telling something impossible at every thread but this is doable to roll it out and somewhat profitable for companies to cover their high spectrum and network up gradation cost

OMG? RS 750 For 512kbps connection on Gptl? i mean the tariff isnt bad for a unlimited connection but still high speeds needs to be offered at the same prices with some fair fup limits like beam..
