I have most of the times that Kerala users are reporting very good speed. But in Bangalore the speed varies location to location.

All the towers in bangalore are not 7.2 mbps hence the speed variations.Also i feel the speed variations are more in 3.6 Mbps towers and less in 7.2 Mbps ones as the bandwidth is more.

@ramli when i use Huawei UMG1831 the signal strength is -73to-83 dBm and signal is HSD+UPA in MDMA but still my download speed is not crossing even 200kBps..

Any idea y it is behaving like this..

Your signal strength is good. How you determine your speed ? Never with simple speedtest.net !

For direct download multiple files from good sites, with a good download manager.

For torrents also, multiple torrents with many seeders and some hot downloads.

My signal strength in BSNL 3G is : -83dBm
Modem is Huawei 160X
(Modem was K3565 earlier, although got it unlocked, i flashed it many times with newer firmwares, however speed problem occurred way before i flashed it first time so its not modem)
RAT: is shown as 3G in idle and HSDPA when data is being sent/receive.

Your signal strength is ok. Most of the time MDMA shows -83dBm, for me also.

I don't know the uploading capacity of your card. If it is 384Kbps, then it will show only HSDPA. If it is 0.73Mbps or more ( HSUPA ), it will display HSD+UPA.

hey sandeep... which area u liv in blr? im not getting speeds more han 2 mbps. imat bomanhaali.also in torrents the green ok sign at bottom is not there.only red exclamation mark! any opinions?

i am also in search of a good 9dbi antenna with crc9 connctor.... there r two antennas listed in ebay.in for 2000 rs.. but realy not sure of buying....

relnc: -95 dbm...
