bsnl 3g Internet speed

I bought an USB extension cable and joined my LW272 Teracom modem to the female end and then joined the male end to USB port of my computer.

Then I placed the modem on my computer facing towards the window.

Here is the result of the procedure



P.S. : It was raining cats and dogs while I performed this test.
 
I own bsnl 3g internet ..I'd see lot of posts here ...i have come to say my real experience about the bsnl 3G's internet the speed is like damn good....it gave 3.89 mbps and 4.10mbps in chennai metro city yesterday...... if u guys wants to use this internet to laptop or desktop dont use ur mobile phones instead use modems from micromax Huawei etc.............i use huawei e220 usb modem with bsnl sim card.... i had more satisfaction using this internet and bsnl reduced the unlimited plan from 2999 to 1349 its quit amazing ...when i got that news i just changed my prepaid bsnl3g sim card into postpaid and i started using this internet .... i can take this modem anywhere india and in tamilnadu bsnl 3G is almost connected in all cities in the district .... want any help in buying modems contact me...and also forgot to say,... my modem has 7.2mbps support with firmware upgrade...guys always purchase modem from outside don't purchase modem from operators it sucks when u will try to unlock.. its very hard and annoying factor...... tata docomo is gonna launch 3G service in nov5 hope they will provide good internet ...... have a nice day tc bye...... contact me if u have any questions..... ????????????????????? fell free guys.!

if u use moble with umts support u will get 0.40 mbps alone...try to upgrade ur phone....or might be the problem due to bsnl ...i mean in ur place they have umts support alone

I agree with all your points but the speed you are getting in Chennai is amazing as we are getting half the speeds or less of the ones mentioned by you.

Perhaps the 3g towers in our area are running at half their potential for reasons best known to BSNL.Once I got 4.86 Mpbs download speed but that must have been a burst speed.

It would be good to see a screen shot of your BSNL 3g speed using speedtest.net.

........i have checked it with speedtest.net only ...i will show u the speed soon bcoz ma frnd took ma modem for a days once i receive i will post the screen shot....i get 423Kbps while i download songs with Dap and i get 527Kbps while downloading nvidia drivers ...i checked in all facts ...All we have to do is to get the fast is to purchase proper 3G modem that's it.....see you soon ??? tc

Hi Yogesh ,Guess what if you pay 6 months advance - 4200.It works out to 700 PM for 7.2 MBPS unlimited.Check Calutta BSNL - launching Nov 5 , under Specail Festival tariff for 3G.Also can you advise how the deduction and tariff work for prepaid.Is the balance deducted monthly , is it possible for me to use for a few months , pause and use again. Like a mobile plan maybe , but how do we change tariff plans and verify our connection.Can I buy a 3G USB modem outside and without hassles (not technical , but administrative - operator irritation) use for BSNL now and lets say Tata tomorrow.Please suggest a good modem for 7.2 MBPS , BSNL is giving one at 2500.The only use is internet connectivity , no point spending much more for brand etc.Thanks
 
hi..

you have to recharge your mobile number..ex": if u want 6 gb internet(1gbday+5gb) then the value of 547 then u have to frc 547.. it will come with 30 days validity..like this method being carried out ....no deduction from balance and all...

In prepaid you can change or stop using internet every 30 days .. if u recharged your number with data plans then the next 30 days u will have to use that plan afterwards u can change the plan or you can pause then u can use like wise...if u want continuously u havr to recharge every month on expiry date..If u go for long time plan.. same will be followed like you will have to recharge ur number as per the plan..if u recharged your number for longtime plans like for 7 months then u cannot pause until 7 months so beware of it..prepaid plans are little costlier than postpaid plans..my suggestion is don;t go for long term plans because the other networks like docomo,airtel etc are heading to launch the services as of now use bsnl internet..in future if u think to keep bsnl then its ok but confirm other service provider services too...so dont buy modem from bsnl and locked up with that even unlocking the modem is also a quite annoying step...


i recommend zte and Huawei 3g modems... bcoz those are very good and cheap too.,,not that cheap :)

if u want more comparitive and best then go for huawei...i dunno know wat are the models yet launched in india by huawei.. so check in ebay for good 3G modems and purchase it.....have a nice day.....any doubt in this ask me i will help you.....

hai guys my speed is somewhat high in 7.2 mbps.becausee only 2 bar strength.my modem Teraccom 273 7.2 MBPS Modem From BSNL Exchange.iam the first to get in my town. and the speed is amazing,its gives 500 -900 Kb/s In IDM. Proof:

my town is karur and it is located centre of tamil nadu. if you need any more questions post me.4.11 mbps is due to weak signal strength
 
Can we use simcard of other operators in Teraccom 273 modem.
