I initially wanted to get MBV1000 plan ( supposedly 1.5 mbps with 5 Gb cap) but the hardware guy told me it is not good as towers/signals are not fully functional for 3G so he suggested next best thing using ordinary sim with unlimited gprs plan for 193 bucks with 3G usb data card will give me 2G connectivity with unlimited access. So i tested it and lo behold the gprs mobile gave me speeds of 50.-120kbps and the 3G usb card unleashed the genie at .6mbps to 1.1 mbps and no caps wow.I had fun entire afternoon with Utube with no buffer lags ....come evening everything changed and i could not find hpsa/3G signals in my house... so after spending nearly 5k , i came to the conclusion that this is great service that will improve over time and not to be used as primary connection but has potential for great backup connection and in my case when i run out of my allocated bandwidth cap @4gb in 20-24 days this could come in handy .... so i will not give the boot to airtel... skype and msn stuff still to be tested and what bothers me is the crappy uploads @15kbps....hope this helps ..have a good day.
When subscribing to BSNL 3G is it neccessary to opt for 2G service of BSNL also or is it optional ?If optional then how to listen to incoming calls when only 3G is subscribed ?Actually I dont have any knowledge of 3G,so sorry if this sounds silly.
