Downloading data from the BSNL server or testing against a server in India is only an indication of the speed between you and your ISP. Try speed test on a server in the US and you'll find out how fast your connection really is.

how can it show like that........

my internet speed is 256Kbps.........

my lan is 100Mbps only..........

but it is showing 137Mbps exceeding LAN Speed............

How is it possible..............???

it is possible if they are bluffing or just plain broken...

The speed shown is ISP server side data..speed between the ISP server and adsl modem... even if it exceed lan speed ,from ADSL to your computer it will be restricted to 100 Mbps only, excess of LAN speed is useless, unless you use GIGABIT ethernet LAN and your ISP technology supported it.. (as told by one engineer)I think such speed testing are now experiened many of the users in the Metro limits only in rural and suburban side no information about the speed increase is available..

today bsnl has introduced its 8mbps plan for business. newspapper : anandabazar at kolkata.

ROFL and people here were expecting 1 mbps for 1500 or so and some were even not happy with that . Wake up people, BSNL is just another shit isp like all others in INDIA . dont expect too much . Get ready to pay Rs.166 per GB ( and later Rs.700 per GB ) for a UPTO connection
