I recently switched to BSNL 1441 plan in which we get 8mbps till 15GB then 512 kbps.
It took 3 days to completely switch the plan with speed profile. Now they have updated the speed profile and rates are
DOWNSTREAM - 8151kbps
UPSTREAM - 507kbps.
On speed test my speed touched 6.8mbps. Transfer rate goes to 880KB/s.
BUT According to theory, I should get 8*1024/8 = 1024KB/s or atleast 950-1000KB/s. In previous plan of 2mbps my line rate was 4091kbps so it gives me 250-255 KB/s constant.
Now they have just changed the speed profile to match the plan B/W but due to losses I am not getting optimum speed. In case they change the rate to 9-10Mbps I will definitely get ~8mbps = 1024KB/s speed.
Should I call them again to fix the speed profile ? Tomorrow is 1st Feb so the plan resets which means I will get 15GB limit without any issue.
P.S. - They changed the plan but didn't changed the speed profile. I myself called them again and again to fix that. The CC employee told me "How do you know that your speed profile is not changed ?" I told them I checked the modem stats then she understood the concern.
What should I do ?
