Thanks for the info..Now i dont think we need any applications to calculate our data usage,,.. I'm happy now.

hmm GOOD..... less headaches. but there is still a need to be able to tell the usage per day if a user wants it. for example i need to know how much i am using and how much is left for me to use daily. helps a lot.... if people are interested, v3 will be out as soon as i can get time away from college and exams(hopefully be a week or so)

Yes man me interested. Go on with your exam first and then update it. Me too facing university exams so i know the headaches.:)

You have posted your message in the wrong thread , and has not mentioned the modem make. see this web site.
BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU

Enable DHCP and select obtain Ip address automatically. Use PPP/pppOe mode " always on '
Later change to Wanminiport for dialing your connection.

Is it possible to know one's upload/download independent of BSNL's figures?I ask this because on my WinXP computer, whenever I start a broadband session, I can get a screen that shows time connected, bytes uploaded, and bytes downloaded. If one remembers to do a screen capture of this just before logging off, is it not possible to get a close guess as to one's usage? And, can an MS Windows competent guy actually "pipe" the output of this screen for each session to a logfile on the PC?
