BSNL Broadband: connecting two pcs to adsl modem?

Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig/all, post the screen shot for both machines.Set " Obtain IP address automatically ". We can configure LAN later. First fix the net connection.

Have you set " obtain IP address automatically " ? If not try it.

If it does not work enter the following values in the TCP/IP properties of your machine.

Machine 1 :

IP = 192.168.1.20
Sub net mask = 255.255.255.0
Default gateway = 192.168.1.1


Machine 2 :

IP = 192.168.1.25
Sub net mask = 255.255.255.0
Default gateway = 192.168.1.1

ya bro i have set obtain IP address automatically!and entered the values as it is in both pcs.still cant access net on my other pc!Should i need to dial on my 2nd pc? or it automaticaly get connected?And one more thing my dsl router control panel not opening(192.168.1.1)??Pls Reply.

Did you configured your modem in PPPoE ? Do it .

Enable DHCP in modem ?Set " Obtain IP address automatically ".Also are you able to connect just by switching ON the modem ?
