bsnl's limits are much worse compared to airtel if they are indeed implemented on all customers.

Airtel or others will simply change to same thing like BSNL. Will anyone like to give more than others?

Once the hysteria raised no amount of perusual can satisfy the posters here.. I've already said that HOME500 was changed to BB500 to facilitate the business users, but the portal entries wrongly made combo 199. Mine is a signed order where as the portal are hand typed error prone entries..http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/1227/bsnlrevisedplan.png

against the HOME Combo 199 it is mentioned as 'combo199'
against the HOME500 it is mentioned as BB500'
Guys!! please provide me to the link or copy of new plans so we can discussed the merit of the plans in healthy way..
with regards,
vaithy

the auto migration of Home 500 to BB500 has started.. in the usage portal under the user info - this is mentioned

user info: Username ******
User Type Postpaid Users
User Status Online
Current Service BB 500 downloadspeed -Upto 2 Mbps
Create Time 2005/01/15 14 : 18 : 28

Mr. Vaithy - :readtherules: what is the need for clubbing home 500 and business users under the same plan as BB500? is is not insane? the contention ratio for home is 50 and business 20...so is BSNL is increasing the contention ratio of business users to 50 ? if business users are clubbed into the Combo 500 how can BSNL give Free Night Unlimited? is it not common sense to infer then that BSNL has decided to remove Free night Unlimited.

If u go to Airtel.in website all the Unlimited PLans for south India are removed. ONly for North India are the unlimited plans still available. Airtel usually gives unlimited plans even in South India if the users asks for it where as BSNL cannot. I called up Airtel in Bangalore and they said that they can give the Freedom1699 though it is not mentioned in the website..

Well, I cannot see which plan I am subscribed to anywhere on the usage portal (data.bsnl.in). That particular detail is not available anywhere! How are you guys checking?

And so far there's no official notification or confirmation whether night unlimited is being removed or curtailed in any way for existing Home plan users, other than what one JTO said.

Therefore, still in wait and watch mode.

I am on UL1350, but it still shows me UL1350 when i log into Dataone WebMail to check usage.
Will my plan be changed to something else?

To me Rs1500 1 Mbps plan seem fine, its time to double speeds.

I am an old BSNL broadband user.. so I check usage in a portal like sancharnet redirect that there in the dataone.in

if u r a new user then it should be from the portal data.bsnl.in

data.bsnl.in, under my orders, enter your phone no in the prescribed format and check your current plan.

looks like all the ISP's with the help of DOT are following some kind a nasality system - take the bandwidth from cities and give it to the rural areas.- then No ISP would have to upgrade any of its international gateways.. pathetic job by all the ISPs :@

@tweaknut,Business user who are coming to revamped home plans are not going to benefit any way. unless the business are going to open their establishment during night, it is no useful to them..But in reality there are many establishment who has established in the residential Flats, are denied the benefit of Home plan because they are doing the business in the premises..Another point is not all the Home plans are converted to general plans .. UL 750 is not converted.. in such acses all other UL business plans would have rendered useless....while the users here are debating whether BSNL will kept the UL plans forever., I have to browse another order related to Chennai BSNL dated to day (30-09-09) announcing the Discount in UL 750 for the new customers upto 90 days.According to the order, free modem will be supplied for the new customers who are taking UL750, provided they committed for one year.. if the modem is surrendered before the one year it should be in good condition and amount of rental for the period will be deducted as modem charges. In the case of Purchase of modem, Fixed monthly charges for the rental will be deducted from the payment of UL750, passed as discount in the bill .Why BSNL is announcing the discount/concession in the UL 750 plan if they want to discontinue it...To day BSNL has many useless plans in the BB services,For example , out of the three lakhs BB customers in chennai, Plan 3300 has just 52 users Plan 15000, has no users, and other plans with ranges of 12,43,98, and so on where as the Home500 Home250 and Home 750 has total two lakhs and fifty thousands users, but still they don't discontinue the useless plans, because nobody taking it..if some body give some rational views why BSNL want to surrendered the profitble services ? :irock:

@vaithyThe plans given in post no:1 of this thread. Is it confirmed?
