BSNL Broadband Heavy packet loss & Slow speed Due to Cable Cut in Middle East

this cables are getting cut so frequently and seemingly so easily makes me think what if pirates and terrorists unite? they can simply shut things off.

I am not able to connect to FlyFF(Online MMORPG) ~~! It's hosted in the US so does this affect me?:wall::wall:

thanks for info. This might be one of the reason of slow browsing speed witnessed by me any many other bsnl users in this weak.

Yes. You are not alone. Facing the same issues here.
First, I thought it might be a canned response from Customer Care.

Is anybody else facing similar issues in Bangalore?

Luke, I sense a disturbance in the force as well. The dark side has grown powerful....... and has decided to steal out night ul internet...... The dark side is fueled by our hatred and bandwidth. Do not give in to your anger young skywalker by changing your ISP, for BSNL really is the best option out there for us jedi. Bear the pain.... endure the agony.... conquer the suffering..................... For the chosen ISP will come one day and liberate us.

:P:P:PP.S : sry, 4 da naaansense(was watchin star wars 3 all this while). My night ul is ****ed up as well. I even verified it recently, my dload from the Ubuntu package repository was around 200 kilo byte/sec at 1:55am and crashed to 15 kilo byte/sec at 2am sharp and again went back up to around 200 at 8am. I checked this for multiple servers for 3 continous days........

The undersea cables linking Europe and Asia, which were damaged by ships early this year, have reportedly been cut again causing severe disruption to internet and voice traffic in the Middle East and other parts of Asia.
India seems to have been particularly hit with around 82% of voice traffic getting affected. I have been experiencing slow connection speed on my Airtel Broadband line since yesterday so this could be a possible reason.
France Telecom is estimating that the cables would be repaired by December 25th but the Internet traffic can only be restored by December 31st.

My speeds are back to normal, though :-?
