If you can access modem settings pages mention the present version number.
Open modem / Edit WAN Uncheck
PPP/PPPoE and select "Bridged"
SAVE reboot wait for 2 minutes.
use Your Dialer to connect .
Select Calcutta telephones Link

Hmm.. Got it. Your modem is working but setup to autologin PPoE. You can uninstall the motive software from your pc. Then go to the modem setup page (192.168.1.1 by default) and change the settings to manual (I assume the new firmware also has this option). Hope this helps.
