BSNL broadband net connection problem with linux F10

Hello,

i am using bsnl broadband bridge mode, i recently installed linux fedora 10.

i am unable to connect to the internet. m getting following problems....

* shud i use ethernet or adsl while running setup in system->preferences->network?

* do i need to specify my login name and password while configuring ehernet just like i do in bridged mode in XP ?

* what shud i specify as login name a_b or a_b@dataone or [email protected] ?

* can i keep both usb and ethernet cable attached to comp while using inet ?

* can neone explain the ethernet configuration process in fedora 10 ?

make sure u really set bridge mode
run this as root

pppoe -AIeth0

it shud show some access concentrators, if not then most likely u havent set bridge mode.

if it does show access concentrators, then run this:

pppoe-setup

and answer the questions. i dont know abt username in BSNL may be otehr BSNL users can answer.

finally, run

ifup ppp0

and ur connection shud be up. after 30seconds

ping google.com
