bsnl broadband new connection question

hi 2 all,,am new 2 this forum,,k am plannin 2 get new broadband connection so i want 2 ask u people bt few things

1. Me and My friend havin 2 laptops so which type of Router is best so that we both can connect,, is this Wifi good with speed or can we do nything with this Type 1 (LAN CABLE) router or can we buy EVDO.


2. Which router is best,,the one which is supplied by Bsnl or shud i buy some other Routers like Netgear or Linksys from Market.

3. Should i wait till next year (2010) so that Bsnl wud launch exciting offers so that it wud wud be cheap 4 me ,,which period is best 2 get connected this Nov,Dec or next Jan 2010.

Go for a Type II modem from BSNL. Speed in EVDO varies from circle to circle. The actual speed is much less than announced speeds. BSNL guys won't support modems from open market. If any issue arise, you will have to handle it yourselves. It is cheaper to buy from BSNL. The cost of wifi modem is Rs. 1600 + tax or Rs. 80 PM rent.

his room is next to my room only ,,only one wall is there in between thats it,,if i take Type 2 modem i think 1 ethernet we can connect & one wifi can be connected rite>>>

Now a days there are only type 1 and type 2 modems.

but Type 2 ( UTSTARCOM WA 3002G4) they re giving this modem ,,but how is this compared to Quidway wa-1003a ad
