Problem solved..This is due to hardware conflict. I have manually installed ethernet driver and that is causing some conflict. But Ndiswrapper solved my problem.Installed xp drivers with ndiswrapper and everything is working fine. If anybody have silan92031 chipset ethernet then try ndiswrapper with xp driver. This NIC is supported in linux kernel 2.6.21.Thanks bsnluser and all other members..

Problem solved.Ndiswrapper solved my problem. Installed xp drivers with ndiswrapper and ehternet is working smoothly. Anybody having intex ethernet card(sc92031) should use ndiswrapper with windows xp driver. And other good news is Linux kernel 2.6.21 has inbuilt support for this NIC. so wait for some time..thank you all.

You mean no need to use ndiswrapper in 2.6.21 kernel to use this card? It will be automatically detected in that kernel?

thanks

On Dapper Drake system, this is a list of packages I get when I search for pppoe:
$> apt-cache search pppoe
pppoeconf - configures PPPoE/ADSL connections
br2684ctl - Utility for configuring RFC 2684 ATM/Ethernet bridging
guessnet - Guess which LAN a network device is connected to
hwinfo - Hardware identification system
pppoe - PPP over Ethernet driver
pppstatus - console-based PPP status monitor

I think you need pppoeconf.

Not sure about the USB drivers though.

Good luck.
