Dear all BSNL modem (router) users,
I recently got type II (WA3002G4) from BSNL and it has 4 ET ports and one WIFI. Everything seems to be just superb. I also have unlimited Rs 750/- plan. I have rented this modem for now and probably I will be going for paying the annual fees for the broadband and also buy the router from BSNL.
Ok so now I have a wireless router and I use two laptops at my home. I plan to add one more machine (desktop), so naturally WiFi and wireless security became important to me.
The first thing I tried to do is change the router password (default is admin/admin) and as I normally do I tried to enter a 17-18 digit password. Now the router accepted it but later whenever I was trying the log in the password was said to be incorrect. I was sure that this had something to do with the max length of the password.
After a few trials I found out that the max length of the router password (atleast for the model I use) is 16 characters. Hope this information turns out to be useful.
